Personality: Shy and studious. He's quite awkward when it comes to social situations and conversation, and he'd rather be in the library preparing for that tough Potions test. However, once he's made a friend, he opens up a bit, and his small circle of friends will find that he's quite loyal and trustworthy. He'll work extremely hard, sometimes even for hours, to get an essay right or to guarantee a good grade on a test, but he'd put his work down for a close friend without a second thought.

HISTORY

Ever since he was born, Matthieu was intrigued by magic. While most toddlers play with toy cars, he often played with a toy wand and a broom. From this early age on, he and his twin sister never got along very well. However, he got along quite well with his younger sister, who was born when he was two years old. When he was five years old, his younger brother joined the family, and Matthieu enjoyed playing with him as well. By this age, he could read simple books, and his father bought him his first magic book on the topic of magical charms. He enjoyed looking thought the pages and seeing the moving pictures, but he also absorbed all the information on spells. He would practice casting the charms with his toy wand. He even tried to teach his little brother some magic! However, this ended about a year later when his father told him that he was going to be the only wizard out of the four children. This actually made Matthieu somewhat upset; his siblings wouldn't be able to enjoy magic with him!

By the time he was seven, Matthieu could read fairly well, and he began to scan the more difficult textbooks. He dedicated himself to learning magic and being the best he could be. If his siblings couldn't be wizards, then he would make up for it by being very successful. He dedicated himself to his studies of magic, and his grades in Muggle school suffered as a result. However, this didn't matter to him. He figured that he wouldn't need to worry about Muggle education once he made it to Hogwarts, so he studied to make sure he did well at Hogwarts.
